Graduate Credit Option (1 Credit Hour)


Earn 1 graduate credit through Kent State University for your OCTELA conference participation.

Important: Graduate credit registration is separate from OCTELA conference registration.


What happens after you register?

After you register, Kent State will email you:

  • Online payment instructions

  • Transcript information

You should receive this email within three business days of registration.

Assignment overview

To earn graduate credit, participants complete both:

1) Formative Assessment
Complete the “Analyze, Reflect, and Inquire” assignment for each session attended.

  • You must analyze six (6) sessions total

  • Templates are available on the Kent State registration page

2) Summative Assessment
Write a 3-page, double-spaced Professional Learning Plan that:

  • Explores two professional learning goals and the pedagogical approaches that support them (based on conference learning)

  • Reflects on potential effectiveness

  • Explains how you will continue professional development

  • Includes accurate citations and polished writing (grammar/mechanics matter)
